SISTER SCHOOLS - organizations with whom we share a vision and work closely with

EarthWalk Vermont - based out of Plainfield, Vermont and founded by Angella Gibbons,  this organization does amazing nature-based programs. For instance, local 4th graders spend every Friday of the year in the woods with the EarthWalk crew.

The Institute for Natural Learning - run by Mark Morey, this group is ded icated to delivering a holistic model of environmental educaton that honors our ancestors wisdom and approach to knowledge of place. Specializing in community and nature awareness training.

The Maine Primitive Skills School - offering classes in the classics of survival and more. These folks are excellent practicioners of the hard skills of survival. Run by Mike Douglass and his dedicated staff in Augusta, Maine.

The Vermont Wilderness School — based out of Brattleboro, Vermont. Offering training in the ways of natural mentoring and wilderness skills. Annual hosts of the Art of Mentoring workshop.

Wilderness Awareness School — Over 25 years old and one of the most productive nature-baased learning centers in the world. Founded by Jon Young, Dan Gardoqui's mentor of 15 years. Home office of the Kamana naturalist training program and offering a variety of intensive, workshops, and expeditions.

Mount Agamenticus Conservation Region - this great website is all about the place we live, work, and play in - The Mt A Region. Full of educational info on ecology, history, photos, etc. it's definitely worth a visit.

The York Land Trust - Dedicated to conserving and protecting lands of ecological, historic, scenic, agricultural and educational significance in the greater York, Maine area.

Great Works Regional Land Trust - The Great Works Regional Land Trust mission is to conserve natural, historic, agricultural, scenic and recreational resources within the Maine communities of Eliot, the Berwicks, Wells and Ogunquit.

The Nature Conservancy - Maine Chapter - Saving the last great places on earth - the Maine chapter of TNC has been vital in the Mount Agamenticus reserve.

Maine Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife - The Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife was established to ensure that all species of wildlife and aquatic resources in the State of Maine are maintained and perpetuated for their intrinsic and ecological values, for their economic contribution, and for their recreational, scientific, and educational use by the people of the State.

Alderleaf Wilderness College -run by Jason Knight and staff, Alderleaf offers innovative wilderness, tracking, and nature programs in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, specializing in the application of nature skills for environmental conservation, education, and sustainable living.

EarthTracks - run by Alexis Burnett in Ontario, Canada. EarthTracks specializes in nature education and wilderness adventures. From multi-day canoe expeditions to day-long earth skills workshops, Alexis offers students of many skill levels the opportunity to grow and learn in some gorgeous locations in the forest atop the Canadian Shield.

Hawk Circle & The Earth Mentoring Institute — run by Ricardo Sierra et al. in Cherry Valley, New York. Offering a one-of-a-kind instructor training programs, and powerful summer camps for kids of all ages. They've worked hard on creating an amazing facililty and community that helps young and old better connect to the earth.

International Society of Professional Trackers — striving to connect man and animal trackers around the globe. Host of the annual international tracking conference.

Jack Mountain Bushcraft — if you're looking for a real New England adventure with a taste of the past, join Tim Smith on a Maine canoe trip. JMB is run by Tim Smith in Wolfeboro, New Hampshire and is home to the Moose Dung Gazette.

Keeping Track — founded by nationally known tracker Susan Morse and located in Richmond, Vermont, Keeping Track teaches concerned adults and children to observe, interpret, and record evidence of wildlife in their communities. They support the use of tracking data in local conservation planning.

A Naturalist's World — run by Jim Halfpenny and Diane Thompson our of Gardinier, Montana. Many excellent teaching resources and classes available

NatureSkills.com - a content-based website designed to compliment your jouney as a student of the natural world. Contains many useful and interesting articles and is always looking for more submissions.

The Ndakinna Wilderness Project —Jim Bruchac and his staff do a heck of a job offering quality courses and adventures in tracking, wilderness survival, and Native American Storytelling.

Outdoor-Nature-Child.Com  - Bob Repoley and Barb English (creators of Kamana for Kids) have created this site as a gateway for children to enter the natural world. Games, activities, stories, etc.

The Tree of Peace Society — run by Chief Jake's Swamp of the Mohawk Nation. Share his vision of planting a billion white pine trees around the world in the name of peace.

Wilderness Youth Project - a community-building organization that inspires and guides people toward manifesting their inherent gifts through mentoring and creative nature experiences. Based out of Santa Barbara, California and run by Mark Tollefson.

Wildlife Tracking in North America - run by tracking author Mark Elbroch,  fosters and promotes the application of animal tracking skills in North America and beyond. This site includes information about Wildilfe Track and Sign evaluations administered via Cybertracker Conservation.
