Founded in 1999, we're a non-profit educational organization in the Mount Agamenticus region of southern Maine. Our facilities include a nature museum & classroom, 16 acres adjacent to a large wilderness area.

A U G U S T
 
West Branch Teen Canoeing Expedition
 
Dates: August 3-9 (Monday - Saturday)
 
Description:  Send your teen on our annual adventure to the North Maine Woods. We'll spend six day paddling, swimming, fishing, and floating along the scenic, historic, and wild West Branch of the Penobscot River. Experience peaceful sunsets, battle whitecaps on Lake Chesuncook, and sleep lakeside under the stars. Trip led by Dan Hansche, Erin Kennedy, and Vicki Wilson. 
 
Meeting Location: Meets at the York, Maine Park and Ride (exit 7) on Monday, August 3rd.
 
Cost: Pre-Registrion required. $650 includes all food, permits, travel costs, etc. Limited to 10 participants.
 

 
Jersey Pine Barrens Teen Adventure
 
Dates: August 17-22 (Monday - Saturday)
 
Description:  The New Jersey Pine Barrens contain a span over a million acres of wild wilderness nestled between New York City and Philadelphia. This weeklong adventure call all teens looking for a week of wilderness camping, hiking, kayaking, and practicing survival and scout skills in the land of the pitch pine, cedar swamps, sand roads, and the Jersey Devil.
 
Meeting Location: Meets at the York, Maine Park and Ride (exit 7) on Monday, August 17th.
 
Cost: Pre-Registrion required. $650 includes all food, permits, travel costs, etc. Limited to 7 participants.

White Pine Programs 10th Anniversary Celebration Weekend!
 
October 10th & 11th 2009 (10am-4pm)
 
     This October, please be our guests as we celebrate White Pine Programs 10th anniversary. There’s a lot to be thankful for: lifelong friendships, extended family, deeper connections with the natural world, memories that won’t fade, hilarious laughter, creativity, perseverance, sacrifice, and an ever-expanding circle of people who strive to live a mindful life close to the earth and all its beauty, wonder, and inspiration.
    
The details of the weekend are just emerging. Live skills demonstrations and tours of the White Pine land & facilities, live music, fireside storytelling, kids games, honoring ceremony, alumni rendezvous, and more. Check our website for updates this summer!

There will be a White Pine Community Honoring Ceremony Saturday at 1pm
Chief Jake Swamp will be conducting a Tree Planting Ceremony Sunday at 1pm
