Ages: Adults & children ages 8 and older with adults
 
Description:Come explore the diverse habitats of the York Land Trust's Hilton-Winn Property on the Ogunquit/York border.  Trek alongside expert wildlife tracker Dan Gardoqui of White Pine Programs for a quick primer and practice session of winter wildlife spotting techniques.
 
Location: Meets at the Hilton-Winn King's Grant Conservation Area paking lot (.6 miles west on Ogunquit Rd from the intersection of  N. Village rd).
 
Cost: $5 per person or $10 per family. Reservations required. Call 207-361-1911 to reserve space.

Canada Lynx Research Expedition
 
Date: March 7th - 12th  2010 (Sunday thru Friday)
 
Description:Take part in our 8th annual citizen science field expedition to the wintry woods of northern Maine. Working in conjunction with wildlife biologists, we spend a week seeking out, tracking, trailing, and collecting useful information on the Canada Lynx. Staff include Alexej Siren - State of Maine Lynx Project Field Staff and Dan Hansche - Wildlife Track & Sign Specialist.
 
Location: North Maine Woods (exact location to be determined)
 

Cost: $695 per person - all food, lodging, and instruction included.

Anything But Bland: The Blanding's Turtle

Description: Ancient and on the brink!  Join State Biologist Jonathan Mays and White Pine Programs' Dan Hansche for an unforgettable search for emerging native turtles in the York Pond wetlands. Reservations required:

West Branch Teen Canoeing Expedition (ages 13-18)
 
Date: August 2 - 7 (Mon-Saturday) 2010
 
Description: Send your teen on our annual adventure into the north Maine woods. They’ll spend six-days paddling, swimming, fishing and floating along the scenic, historic & wild Penobscot River. Experience peaceful sunsets, battle whitecaps on Lake Chesuncook, and sleep lakeside under the stars.  Limited to 10 teens, so sign-up early.
 
Fee: $650 (includes all  food, transport, permits, rentals, etc.)
 


 

Jersey Pine Barrens Teen Adventure (ages 13-18)

 
Date: August 16-21 (Mon-Saturday) 2010
 
Description: The Jersey Pine Barrens span over a million acres of rare wilderness nestled between New York City & Philadelphia. Calling all adventurous teens for wilderness camping, hiking, kayaking, & practicing survival skills in the land of pitch pine, cedar swamps, sand roads, and the Jersey Devil.
 
Note: In order to ensure a quality experience, all interested teens & thier families will be interviewed for this adventure - this trip is not for everyone.
 

Fee: $650 (includes all  food, transport, permits, rentals, etc.)
