In conjunction with CyberTracker Conservation, White Pine Programs regularly hosts Wildlife Track & Sign Evaluations – usually one in winter, and one in the late spring. All evaluations are conducted by certified evaluators.

Evaluations are open to the public and are intended to validate the “dirt time” of practicing trackers as well as help them understand their strengths and weaknesses in terms of a working knowledge of track and sign and trailing skills.

We hope that evaluations can serve as a means for competent trackers to prove credibility and gain employment in the application of tracking skills. Tracker evaluations are also an efficient form of education and excellent means to test observer reliability.
